            Your Therapist Hot Stone Massage

Your Therapist says goodbye to the summer and wellcomes the cold season with a new treatment: Hot Stone Massage.

Before the treatment, Your Therapist sanitizes the stone and heats them in bath of 120-150 Farenheit.

We use basalt, black volcanic stones, an iron-rich type of rock to keep hold of the heat, that have been smotheed by natural forces in the river or sea.

Some stones are wraped in towels and placed on specific energy centres, known as chakras, along the body align and rebalance the body's natural energy flow, other stone are used by Your Therapist to perform the body massage.

The heat can be deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscle, improving circulation of the nervous system and revitelising the muscle tissue by improving blood circulation.

Among the other benefits of Your Therapist Hot Stone Massage:

  • increases lymphatic drainage (toxin removal)
  • reduces stress and anxiety
  • improves back pain and aches
  • helps with the insomnia and depression
  • can combat arthritis pain, etc.

A Hot Stone Massage is not recommended for people with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease or are on medications that thins your blood, pregnancy, sunburns, menopausal (it may trigger a hot flash).

Before starting the Hot Stone Tratment, you will be asked to remove your clothing (except underpants) and make yourself confortable facing down so Your Therapist can work your back first. We start to conect with the pacient by warming up our hands and applying some pressure to specific points from feet, legs, buttocks, back, arms and hands.A quick sweedish massage and we place the stones on specific points on the back and hands while masaging your legs with heated stones. As the stone cools, Your Therapist replaces it with another. The therapist uses many stones of various shapes and sizes.

A plant-based massage oil will be applied to the skin to allow free movement of the stones and to nourish the skin.

During the massage, only the part of your body being massaged will be exposed, to ensure your modesty.

Be sure to speak up if the stones are too warm or the pressure too intense. And you can always ask them to stop using the stones if you don't like how it feels.

Hot stone massage has a very detoxifying effect on the body and you can encourage this by drinking plenty of water and avoiding caffeine, nicotine and alcohol for the next 24 hours.  Also try to avoid any strenuous exercise for 24 hours following treatment and try to rest and allow your body to heal from within.
